Native Youth Preventing Diabetes (NYPD) Camp is a diabetes prevention education program designed to provide Native American children the necessary information and encouragement to prevent obesity, metabolic syndrome and diabetes later in life.

NYPD is a 501c3 non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteer health professionals with a desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of Native Youth of Oklahoma
NYPD is designed for Native American boys and girls 8-12 years of age
Over 1500 Native Youth have attended the NYPD camp since its beginning in 2002

|Step1||Visit the website sections and look at our coalition members to see if your tribe is a current partner with NYPD Camp. If your tribe is currently not a coalition member, consider asking them to find out more about NYPD Camp.|
|Step2||Contact your tribe or a tribe in your area that is listed as a NYPD coalition partner and tell them you are interested in attending NYPD Camp.|
|Step3||Complete the registration packet provided to you by the tribe to get signed up for NYPD Camp.|
